The closer that I get to the city, the darker it gets and the more I feel the madness taking over. It's in the eyes of the people I pass. The fight to make it out, with or without the mind in tact, takes its toll. Each face looks more haggard than the last. Until yours. You don't succumb to the terror within. While the others are busy experiencing it, you observe it. You study it. You want to live it. But not here, not now. You know that your time will come. As I walk by, I know it, too.
