The wrong turn at the wrong time and I'm standing in an alley surrounded by tweekers oblivious to the world around them. The music drowns out the screams and the smoke catches the lights. It's just another party thrown up between a couple abandoned buildings. This night is no different than any other. But, you know. You're standing up on your fire escape, as you have so many nights, looking at the madness below. The light reflecting off the metal in your face catches my eye. The look in yours shows that you've not given up. You have hope. There's a way out. You will find it.
