As the smoke faded to fog, the city took on a new light. The sparks bloomed into brilliant orange flowers dangling from exotic branches. Ivy climbed the walls as vines tumbled down. It was only a flash, but I think you noticed it before heading off to join the others. Why else would you have smiled like that? Let me know.
